HTI Serves as Test Site for All-Electric Molding Machine

Krauss Maffei PX All-Electric Injection Molding Machine

HTI Plastics was selected by Krauss Maffei as a beta test site for their new PX all-electric injection molding machine.  The PX all-electric was introduced in the fourth quarter of 2016.  HTI will act as a host site for the machine for a year and have the option to purchase the machine after acting as a test site.

In 2010, HTI Plastics introduced electric mold machines into its production process.  The introduction of electric molding machines helps to reduce cost and increases speed and efficiency in many ways.  With tight, repeatable control of operations, the product is produced with less material and fewer additives, reducing waste. All-electric machines can result in faster cycles and lower operating costs.  With the advantage of digital control, all-electric mold machines can lead to greater repeatability.

“We are excited to serve as a test site for the Krauss Maffei all-electric PX injection molding machine,” said Troy Just, President of HTI Plastics.  “We are committed to investing in our facility and the latest technologies.  Partnering with Krauss Maffei will allow us to remain on the cutting edge of injection molding technology and processes.”

The all-electric PX series features large clamping platens which enable universal mold use. The new PX molding machine offers high precision and productivity, as well as flexibility in all production phases.  Additional features of the Kraus Maffei all-electric PX series injection molding machine include a ProcessDesigner for a graphic, user-configurable sequence programming and automatic mold height adjustment using an MC6 control system.
