Lincoln, NE – HTI Plastics, a leader in injection-molded plastic products, has added a new injection molding press, the Sodick 60-ton press to its already impressive collection of injection-molding presses. The new Sodic press was added only a few months following the addition of two other new Sodick presses. HTI installed two new Sodick presses, at 40 ton and 100 ton back in June. The new press will be used to expand the company’s services in a variety of areas benefiting of HTI customers.

“We’re growing with our existing customers and adding the new presses will help to accommodate their needs, the needs of our other customers, as well as the needs of future customers,” said Troy Just, President of HTI Plastics. “We need to prepare for growth in the years to come, and investing in equipment and our facility will provide us with additional capacity and enhanced capabilities to handle that growth and provide for our customers well into the future.”

With the addition of the new press along with the two new presses added in June, HTI now has injection-molding presses ranging in size from 40 tons to 1,800 tons. Giving them the capability to serve a wide variety of markets and industries.  HTI is invested in continually improving all areas of its business to help ensure the success of their customers.

Excellent Plasticization & Injection Performance.
Equipped with a highly stable and highly reliable plasticization and injection unit realized by Sodick’s original V-LINE® which contributes to accurate and highly repeatable resin injection, and a hydraulic accumulator mechanism that enables high speed injection with dynamic responsiveness at a high level.

Original Mold Open/Close & Clamping Mechanism.
Adopts both a mold open/close mechanism which realizes accurate position control by an electronic system, and a mold clamping mechanism that reproduces an accurate mold clamping force by a hydraulic system. Equipped with a direct pressure mold clamping system which utilizes the merits of the electro-hydraulic hybrid system to the utmost.

Total Servo Drive.
Further improved energy saving performance by the use of an electric servo motor for the hydraulic pump drive, in addition to the electric servo motor drive for the mold open/ close mechanism and ejection mechanism.
