Lincoln, NE – September 9, 2025: HTI Plastics, a world leader in custom injection molding, is proud to announce the promotion of Jonathan Nielsen to Senior Engineer – Sales.

Jonathan joined HTI in January 2019 as a Mechanical Engineer and has since become a cornerstone of the organization’s growth and innovation. His promotion reflects his technical expertise, collaborative leadership, and ability to build trusted relationships with customers across multiple industries.

During his time at HTI, Jonathan has:

• Earned his Plastics Technology & Engineering certificate through the American Injection Molding Institute, strengthening his expertise in injection molding.
• Successfully led and integrated numerous projects into production, including the rifle stocks, trigger modules, a wide range of firearms accessories, and many custom injection molded products.
• Streamlined engineering processes, driving efficiencies that have helped HTI deliver higher-quality results for customers.
• Taken on a strategic role in sales, building and growing partnerships that have expanded HTI’s business opportunities.

“Jonathan has consistently demonstrated technical excellence, a collaborative spirit, and a strong commitment to our customers and our mission,” said Chris Reed, Director of Engineering. “Over the years, he has grown into a key contributor across multiple facets of our business.”

Jonathan received his bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln in 2017.  Prior to his time at HTI he spent close to four years at LASR Team, LLC as a Design Engineer.

Jonathan’s unique blend of technical expertise and customer focus positions him to play an even greater role in HTI’s continued growth. His promotion reinforces HTI’s commitment to developing talent and delivering engineering-driven, customer-focused solutions.
