Injection Molding

OUR INJECTION MOLDING SOLUTIONS

Here at HTI Plastics, we have a state-of-the-art plastic injection molding manufacturing facility with 25 Krauss Maffei injection molding presses, 5 Sodick molding presses, and 1 420 ton Engel molding press. These molding machines range from 55 ton to 1,800 ton. The Krauss Maffei German engineered presses offer outstanding precision, high quality, dynamic responses and the fastest dry cycle times in the industry. We also utilize a computerized material distribution system and have on-site silo storage of resin.  While Nebraska has some of the lowest energy costs in the nation, we knew we could reduce are costs even more by transitioning from hydraulic presses to all electric.

There are over 25,000 engineered materials compatible with the injection molding process, such as resins, thermoplastics, thermosets, and silicones. These multiple options will help you find one that offers the right balance of physical, mechanical, and chemical properties. Commonly used materials include acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), polyethylene (PE), polystyrene (PS), and polypropylene (PP). Using a mixture of those materials to produce a strong part, with impact resistance, and/or the stiffness you need. An example would be adding glass fibers to your thermoplastic, creating a strength-enhancing composite solution.

Krauss-Maffei Corporation
Materials

We can run all types of resins from commodity to engineered grades, high temperature to filled materials.

Automation

We are dedicated to improving productivity through automation. The presses are operated in an automatic mode to the greatest extent possible. Parts are removed from the plastic injection molding by robotics or conveyor systems. The result is a reliable, efficient, and cost effective system to improve manufacturing process.

Assembly Solutions

From prototyping and tooling, to finishing, assembly, and packaging, HTI does it all.
