This month, the HTI Plastics / PCE, Inc. building expansion had its topping off ceremony, and soon after, we had a break from bad weather, and the new building started to take shape again with part of the frames and roof being installed. Despite the challenging weather Nebraska has had this year, the project is still on track. We look forward to the new building expansion being the premier plastics manufacturing facility in the Midwest.

We will continue to share construction updates every month.

HTI Plastics is a full service injection molder, offering a wide array of secondary manufacturing services. Keeping secondary operations in-house allows us to provide our customers with high quality products at a fair price, along with a faster turnaround time. We boast a sophisticated in-house tool shop and mold development facility, along with clean assembly environments, in-house engineering department, and many other secondary applications.

In addition to being a premier plastics manufacturing facility, HTI Plastics injection molding services and secondary manufacturing services, we offer blow molding and plastic profile extrusion through our sister companies, Apex Plastics and Lincoln Plastics. Apex Plastics is located in Brookfield, Missouri, and is an industry leader in the production of blow-molded plastic bottles, containers, and shapes. Lincoln Plastics, formerly Geist Plastics, is located next door to our facility in Lincoln, NE. The Lincoln Plastics staff are experts in plastic profile extrusion, producing the Flexiduct line of cord covers, center pivot irrigation accessories and custom extruded profiles.

Secondary manufacturing processes are those processes that are done after the initial manufacturing processes, like injection molding, CNC machining production, and so on. As the name suggests, these processes are used to refine the workpiece in some manner.

It is important to remember the secondary processes are not the same as finishing processes. These two terms are sometimes interchanged, so it is easy to get confused by what they mean. To clarify, finishing processes are things like polishing, packaging, labeling, and final inspections before shipping the workpiece off to customers.
